The laundry issue with my children is irritating.  I want them to sort the whites and darks and put their clothes away.  I do their laundry, fold it and put it on the couch for them to take to their rooms.  It may take several days for it to get to their rooms and then it ends up on the floor.  What do you suggest?  Irritated in GA.
Dear Irritated, Lets look at the sorting issue first.  How about getting each child a colored basket and a white basket-let them pick the color and maybe even the shape if there is room in their room for storage.  This has the possibility of making it more fun to sort out by color.  Once you have finished the wash, put the clothes back in the appropriate basket.  This will at least contain the clean clothes so they won't end up on the floor.  Often changing one pattern in a cycle with shift many more.  Good luck.  Dora
